Barr. Maxwell Mgbudem Re-elected IPAC National Secretary.

The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has conducted its national executive elections, returning all former officials, including the National Chairman, Alhaji Yusuf Dantale.

The election which took place in Abuja was held in a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere, reflecting the collective decision of member political parties to uphold continuity and consolidate the ongoing reforms within the council.

Following the announcement of results, the re-elected executives were formally administered the oath of office, signifying the commencement of a new tenure and a renewed commitment to the council’s mandate.

The chairman of the Electoral Committee and National Chairman of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), Chief Dan Nwanyanwu, commended the smooth conduct of the election.

He urged the newly re-elected officers to justify the confidence reposed in them by promoting unity, strengthening internal democracy, and advancing issue-based political engagement across the country.

Chief Nwanyanwu, who suggested tenure elongation for elected officials in the future, as the two-year tenure currently in place was short, advised the new executives to ensure that IPAC was domiciled in all 774 local government areas for the people at the grassroots to feel the impacts.

In his acceptance speech, Alhaji Yusuf Dantale expressed deep appreciation to member parties for their trust and renewed mandate and pledged that the executive would continue to strengthen inter-party collaboration, promote issue-based politics, and uphold the principles of internal democracy.

Alhaji Dantale also emphasised the council’s commitment to partnering with relevant institutions to deepen democratic culture and enhance credible elections in Nigeria.

He assured political stakeholders that the re-elected executive would work tirelessly to advance IPAC’s role as a unifying platform for all registered political parties.

The re-elected executives include Alhaji Yusuf Dantalle, National Chairman; Hajia Zainab Ibrahim, Deputy National Chairman; Mr Maxwell Mgbudem, National Secretary; Mariam Garba Lawal, Deputy National Secretary; and Dr Dipo Olayoku, National Treasurer.

Chinyere Kalu is National Organising Secretary; Dr Umar Mohammed, National Financial Secretary; Wale Martins, National Publicity Secretary; and Barrister Obed Agu, National Legal Adviser.
